Garstang Running Club’s Frank Miller was outnumbered by lady members, a most unusual occurrence, at the Lancaster and Morecambe Half Marathon. Beating Frank by 59 seconds was Helen Vinniconmbe who finished in 121st place in 1 hour 40.08, followed by Frank in 126th place and Phillipa Olive, 198th in 1.54.57 and Viv Gilbert 244th in 2.13.46 with the last of the 249th completing the course in 2.28.46.
For once Richard Roberts took part in just the one race – the Whalley Nab 6.5 mile road race near Skipton where he finished 13th in a field of 71 in 45.18 minutes
