Some people do 2 or 3 races over a whole running career but not Richard Roberts of Garstang Running Club, as he has completed over 20 races this year alone! In the last couple of weeks he has completed 4 races of some variety: at Ingleborough Fell race he was 52nd of 199, at the Cuerden Valley trail race he was 13th of 95 and at the Harrock hill race he was 32nd of 134.For the Lancaster and Morecambe 10 mile road race he was joined by 2 club members and led them home in 21st place in 67.19 minutes. He was followed by Tim Warner, 69th in 1 hour 18 minutes and Pete Gelderd 160th of 196 in 1 hour 39 minutes.
It was “Robertsless” at the mid week Lancaster 10k where Dave Old finished 41st in 41.51, Richard Jones 62nd in 45.05 and Mike Hall 130th of 189th and second MV65 in 53.49 minutes. And finally, Omar Aboo running his first race in club colours finished 100th of 123 at the Rosemere 10k at Blackpool in 57.13. Only 19 more races to do to catch up with action man Roberts.
