From time to time life throws up questions that are hard to answer, and
last Sunday was no exception - why would a notorious "hill hater"
travel 30 miles to the "undulating" Burnley 10k when he could travel less than 10 miles to Lancaster for "dead flat" Three Bridges 10k?
Perhaps Peter Gelderd will one day explain the logic behind his
decision? At Burnley in a field of 199 Pete finished 139th in
50.04 minutes but Garstang Running Club were led home by Richard
Roberts who finished an excellent 10th in 37.26. Richard Jones
was the only club representative at Lancaster and in a field of 139 he finished 49th in 41.58 minutes and without a hill in sight!
