Despite the hills the Blackburn Winter Warmer 10k attracted 301 competitors to Witton Park. Leading home the Garstang Running Club contingent was Richard Roberts in 13th place and 1st MV40 in a time of 37.35 minutes. Richard was followed at a respectful distance by Frank Miller, 168th in 49.40, Pete Gelderd 234th in 55.00, just scrambling home by 7 seconds in front of Denise, previously known as Debbie, Hughes. The final competitor completed the tough course in 1 hour 19.28 minutes.
