The latest round in the Mid Lancs Cross Country Series was held at a very muddy Lancaster University. Garstang Running Club was well represented by ten competitors and more importantly five marshals.

In the senior ladies race the two young Debbie's finished 48th and 61st in a field of 73.

226 competitors were in the senior men's race with Mike Whyatt finishing 9th, however this should have been 5th as he took a wrong turning close to the finish. Following Mike were Richard Roberts 85th, Tony Pritchard 102nd, Al Hartley 132nd, Dave Barraclough 145th, John Pitchford 160th, Phil Griffiths 177th and Pete Gelderd 196th.
